An Angel StoryShortly after Angels Way was formed, several of it’s founding lady sponsors gathered at Cable’s Restaurant in Woodland Hills one morning for breakfast. Foremost on their minds that day was Angels Way and as they talked, they composed an image of what Angels Way meant to each of them. Slowly a picture emerged of what they envisioned Angels Way to be.
Readily they agreed that the picture must be of a baby in protective arms of an angel. After all, wasn’t the mission of Angels Way to give the opportunity of life to the unborn? But still they weren’t satisfied, something was still missing. Then one of them had an idea. Their vision must include a symbol of life, and so in their picture they included a flowing stream of water. Yet, they still didn’t feel their picture was complete. Being mothers, they agreed the baby should have a toy and so they added a small yellow duck floating on the water for the baby to play with. Now satisfied with their image of Angels Way, they finished their breakfast and parting, went on their way. Time passed and then one day a donation of baby items was made to Angels Way. Included was a paper bag which, when opened, contained a picture, a picture of a kneeling baby with a protective guardian angel and a small yellow duck floating on a stream of water. The picture hangs near the front parlor entrance to Angels Way for all to see. Is it a coincidence or a Divine message? You be the judge. |
