​Dear Angels Way,
 
When I first came to you it was as if I was guided to you by my Guardian Angels, because I had absolutely  nothing.  I had no money, no car, no job and especially NO HOME.  You took me in knowing I had nothing.  I was like a jigsaw puzzle when I came to you.  You started working on me, piece by piece.  You worked diligently and you were relentless in your efforts of putting me together.   I felt like I was at home for the first time in a long time.  As time goes by I started to build a foundation for myself and my son.  Things started to become a lot clearer for me and I was finally starting  to find myself.  I guess you can say that I was going through a soul searching process too.  I knew then that I was supposed to be at Angels Way.  This mysterious Guidance was not by accident but it was on purpose. I prayed for guidance and this is where I was guided - into the arms of Angels Way.  I guess the name ‘Angels Way’ is fitting for what I went through in my past before my son was born.
 
I have so much love for you.  For if it wasn’t for you - who knows where I would have ended up.  You helped me, you guided me, you advised me…and I just wanted to say THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!.
 
You shared your home with me, you shared your family with me, you shared knowledge, you shared your faith and we created memories together.  Accepting me into Angels Way has changed my life and I’m a much better person now because of your faith in me. 
 
I am now married. He’s a United States Marine who’s been serving this country for years and we have two children together.
 
So the jigsaw puzzle that you worked on years ago is now finally complete.
 
From the bottom of my heart and for the child of Angels Way ‘thank you for everything that you’ve done for us’.  You may have not known this but you SAVED US!!

Resident Letters
​to Angels Way

 
I am so thankful to Angels Way and I want to thank the wonderful people that sponsor and donate to the home. I realize that without them Angels Way would not have been here for me.  I am so grateful to the people on the board that have made so many things possible for me.  I will always hold in my heart the kindness the staff and the volunteers have given me.   The time they’ve given me got me through some trying and stressful times.  They’ve always helped me in any way they could.  They were there to listen, give support, advice and encouragement.
 
When I first came to Angels Way I just figured this would be a place to stay until I found somewhere else.  Little did I know I would become a very responsible, strong, happy, loving, single MOMMY.  I have learned so much.  I have become a person I never believed I could be.  Since I have been here, I have received counseling with Ellie, the therapist you provide and she has given me self-worth and the strength I never knew I had.  Meetings with Betty have made me become a responsible person, able to do things on my own for the very first time in my life.  She has always encouraged me to be very involved in my 12-Step program, which has helped me in my recovery from substance abuse.  She has also taught me how important my health is.  So by keeping all my doctor appointments and eating right, I’ve given birth to a healthy baby girl.
 
So many things have been available to me here at Angels Way…clothing and baby items from the Mom & Baby Shop…birthing teachers, breastfeeding nurse, Bible study with Mary, crafts with Jane, computer help…and with help from Angels Way, I have a great attorney, Mary, who has helped me gain visitation with my other children.  I now have faith for the future with them.  The office staff too has helped in many ways, - always resourceful, helping me set appointments, with phone calls, faxes and always going beyond to help.  And always there to listen and give encouragement.  The house manager has taught me domestic responsibility with cooking and cleaning.  I owe her special thanks for helping me with my baby.  She’s always very loving and caring.  And so is everyone else here.
 
I have made some really great friends with the other residents.  We’ve had lots of fun times and long talks.  We’ve been here for each other and I will always have a special place for them in my heart.
 
My relationship with the Lord has grown so much…I now go to church regularly and I pray every day. I’m learning His will for me - & He has blessed me with so much.  I do believe He put me at Angels Way.  I’ll be leaving soon and moving into my very own apartment…I have a car, I’m employed and I’m going to school. I have accomplished so many things.  Most importantly, I’m leaving here knowing that I’m a great MOTHER - loving and caring.  I have faith in my future and I’ll always know the Angels are watching over my children and me.
